Overview of the Project

Overview of the Project

Udaipur, fondly known as the 'City of Lakes', boasts numerous water bodies, and among them lies the illustrious Taj Lake Palace, a 5-star luxury hotel situated on an artificial island in the middle of Lake Pichhola. This majestic hotel epitomizes Rajasthani royalty, and when the need arose to renovate its swimming pool, the management turned to MYK LATICRETE. The renovation project was led by architect Mr. Sanjeev Gupte and contractors Mr. Vipul Mathur and Mrs. Vicky Mathur of Raghuvansh Creations, with Mr. Devender Singh as the chief engineer representing Taj Lake Palace. The existing pool had developed significant leakage issues, demanding a comprehensive renovation. Trusted for our previous success with the swimming pools at Taj Rambagh Palace, Jaipur, we were chosen for this intricate task.

Solutions by
MYK LATICRETE

To address the unique pressures and prevent leakage at the Taj Lake Palace pool, we applied our waterproofing membrane to the floors and walls, creating a robust barrier against water ingress. We then applied a levelling coat mixed with latex admix, cement, and sand to both the floors and walls, achieving a thickness of 5-6 mm. This combination provided a durable and adhesive surface for the marble and stone installations. Special attention was given to fabricating corners and coves, enhancing the pool’s integrity and resistance to water leakage.
