However, an improper installation leads to debonding and/or chipping of the tiles or stones and if there are gaps between the tile and the substrate, the gap breeds pests/fungi and allows seepage of water.

The LATICRETE® 73 is a specially designed Latex Crete Admix for use with LATICRETE® 111 Crete Filler Powder to make high strength, rapid setting latex fortified thin-set adhesives and is suitable for installation of all types of ceramic tile, industrial tile, natural stones and agglomerates.
Tile setting adhesives made with LATICRETE® 111 + LATICRETE® 73 provide increased flexibility, stronger bond and compression strength when compared to conventional Portland cement mortars. This increased bond strength is especially vital when installing semi and fully vitrified tiles, quarry tiles, pavers and other ceramic floor and wall tiles used in highly critical areas such as external facades and heavy traffic areas.
Apart from this, the LATICRETE® 345 is the ultimate one-step, polymer fortified thin-set adhesive for external facade installation of ceramic tiles, vitrified tiles, stone quarry tiles, pavers and brick of various sizes. Superior strength, high flexibility to handle structural movements, non-sag property and taking on extreme weather conditions, are among its best features. Mixed with water, it gives high flexibility with high adhesion which is ideal for facades. A single component adhesive, it exceeds Type 4 S2 as per Indian standards (IS 15477: 2019) and C2TES2 as per European standards (EN 12004)
