When the job of renovating existing swimming pool & water bodies came up, Mr. Sushil Tyagi (Sr. Chief Engineer) of The Oberoi hotels felt only MYK LATICRETE – Leader in Tile & Stone Installation Solutions could do justice to the execution of a project. We recommended the complete swimming pool system which included surface preparation, water proofing, fixing & grouting of ceramic tiles in the pool and water bodies.

Surface preparation: MYK LATICRETE Power Plast™ was recommended as levelling bed on pool surface. The levelling Power Plast™ is designed to use with water to produce superior strength. It is water retaining and self curing plaster that meets & exceeds the requirements of National & International standards.

Waterproofing: LATICRETE® HYDRO BAN® waterproofing membrane was recommended to waterproof the pool surface. LATICRETE® HYDRO BAN® is a single component self curing liquid rubber polymer that forms a flexible, seamless waterproofing membrane. It helps to prevent efflorescence & deterioration of underlying assembly components by eliminating damaging water leakage.

Tile adhesive: LATICRETE® 254 Platinum Thinset Adhesive was used to fix ceramic tiles in the pool & other water bodies. LATICRETE® Polymer Modified Thinset Adhesive creates a tenacious bond for the ceramic tiles installed in the swimming pool & water bodies. Superior strength, flexibility to handle structural movements, non-sag property and taking on extreme weather conditions are among the features of LATICRETE® 254 Platinum Thinset Adhesive.

Grouting: LATAPOXY® SP-100 Stainfree Grout for Floor N’ Wall was used to fill the joints between sandstone. LATAPOXY® SP-100 stainfree grout provides superior resistance to chemicals used for water treatment, pH imbalance & delamination from movement.
