Laticrete: Trusted by the Pharma Industry – Nicholas Piramal India Ltd.
Nichlolas Piramal India Ltd., the fourth largest pharmaceutical company in the country, when decided to expand its operations in Zaheerabad, Hyderabad by adding one more block to its existing manufacturing facility, chose none other than Laticrete, the World Leader in Tile & Stone Installations.
Laticrete was entrusted with the task of installing tiles of sizes, 400mmx400mm and 300mmx300mm on floors & walls for an area of approx. 40,000 Sq.ft. of the new block, which would manufacture bulk actives.
The Architects for the project were B. Mehtalia Consultants from Mumbai.
Scope of Application:
Laticrete, using all its experience, understood the nature of the installation and identified the following things to be done for a perfect installation:
- Fixing of the specialized Acid proof tiles to withstand heavy loads of machinery and trolley movements.
- To enable the floor to withstand spillages of acids, chemicals, alkalis and solvents.
- To withstand & protect the floor from varying degree of temperatures.
Installation system proposed by Laticrete:
- Laticrete recommended Latex fortified Adhesive Laticrete111 Crete Filler Powder and Laticrete 73 Latex Crete Admix for this demanding installation due to its proven performance history in such similar conditions.
The above system proposed would give strong bonding to tiles which would enable the floor to withstand heavy loads of machinery and trolley movements.
2.Latapoxy 2000 Industrial Epoxy Grout was recommended for filling the tile joints, as it would help resist most of the acids, alkalies, chemicals, solvents and varying temperatures.
After having successfully completed the project, Laticrete was also entrusted with the task of renovating the 20,000 Sq.ft. of their old phase as well.
