Hotel Sheraton, Hyderabad

Surrounded by multinational corporations, the Sheraton Hyderabad Hotel is located at the main entrance of the city’s financial district. Modern architecture and technology are the hallmarks of the 216 guest rooms, suites, and serviced apartments.

Sheraton being a prestigious name in the global hospitality industry, had a very high standard of product specification. Architect firm DMU Architecture – Hong Kong, who handled this project, made certain that MYK LATICRETE products were definitely used in this project, considering company’s successful history of executing similar projects both in India and abroad.

The areas of tile & stone installation comprised of reception, guest rooms and corridor areas.

MYK LATICRETE System proposed:

LATICRETE® DWA 215, a speciality adhesive for fixing tiles on dry wall boards was recommended for installing vitrified tiles on plywood wall in reception area. LATICRETE® DWA 215 is a modified Polyurethane Adhesive which is pre-blended single component and ready to use adhesive.

LATICRETE® DWA 215 was also used to fix Travertine stone on partition walls made of plywood in the rooms. A top surface coat of MaxiSeal was applied on Travertine stone to protect it from stains.

Natural stone sealing: LATICRETE® 190 Sealer was applied as base coat on Satvario stone to reduce water absorption. MYK LATICRETE’s MaxiSeal, a nano-technology based impregnating sealer was used to seal highly porous Satvario marble covering an area of 25000 sq. ft. Designed for protection of all medium to dense porous stones, MaxiSeal is formulated for resistance against water and oil based stains, without altering the natural look of the stone.

LATICRETE® 290 Premium Thinset adhesive for Floor N’ Wall was used for fixing vitrified tiles in corridor area. LATAPOXY® SP-100 Stainfree Grout for Floor N’ Wall was used to fill the joints between vitrified tiles.
